Fowey may be a little on the hilly side but for those used to cycling, once you get up above the river a bike opens up a host of possibilities for exploring.  Cycle to visit the Eden Project and enjoy reduced price, VIP entry.  Pedal past the tall ships at Charlestown or join the off road Clay Trails through mining country above St Austell.  Ride to Polperro, via the smugglers beach at Lansallos or inland to Lanhydrock House and Restormel Castle.  You can even take your bikes on the ferry to Mevagissey, visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan and cycle the Pentewan valley Cycle Trail on your way back to Fowey.
