Mussel Festival Break

Our Mussel Festival Break (nights of 22nd and 23rd June) has been created specially to take place during the Fowey Mussel Festival in June. A 2 night break of Cornish seafood, shanties and sunshine from £155 per room per night, to include bed and breakfast plus dinner on the first night and lunch on the day of departure.

On the Saturday night, the hotel is hosting the Festival's evening event, with delicious Cornish mussels being cooked and served in our Beer Garden and entertainment from a live band. You're welcome to join in the fun! Before departure on Sunday, we are also including a delicous 3-course Sunday Lunch, with entertainment from the fantastic local sea shanty group 'Du Hag Owr'.

Add the Sunday night from only £60 per room for bed and breakfast. Dinner on the Saturday and Sunday nights can also be added, at a reduced rate of £27.00 per person per night.

Fowey Birthday Murder Mystery Weekend

The Fowey Hotel celebrates its 130th birthday this year and we've planned a fantastic Murder Mystery weekend on Friday 23rd November, that just perfect for super sleuths! Rates are from £339 per room for a 2 night break, inclding accommodation, breakfast, dinner, cocktail reception and full entertainment for the Saturday evening.

The plot starts with a big party following the filming of the Antiques Roadshow. The event is attended by several well-known antique dealers, including one who is not quite what he claims to be. It would appear that several of the party guests are ex-clients and there is also an ex-partner waiting to speak with him about misplaced items and money. Watch and listen as the plot unfolds and see if you can discover who the murderer might be!

Dress: Black Tie optional.

Includes full Cornish breakfast each morning and a delicious 3 course dinner by candlenight on your first night. There will also be flowers, locally made chocolates and a bottle of chilled sparkling wine waiting for you, on arrival.

Christmas and New Year 2012/2013

Our stunning location, delicious food and great entertainment, together with our warm welcome, will ensure you have a Christmas and New Year, full of wonderful memories. Here, at The Fowey Hotel, we promise plenty of festive cheer plus time to just sit back, relax and enjoy being looked after.

Our 3 night Christmas Package (arrive 24th December, depart 27th December 2012) starts with a traditional Cornish cream tea, followed by sea shanties from a group of local singers. Kir Royale cocktails will be served before a delicious firve course dinner, created by Mark, our award-winning head chef.

Christmas Day brings plenty of festive feasting and starts with a full Cornish breakfast. There will be a service at our local church, for those who would like to attend, followed by a glass of sherry before our traditional Christmas Day lunch. Family Carols by candlelight will be held at st Fimbarrus Church and then, from 7pm, we'll be serving a light 3 course buffet supper, followed by our Christmas quiz.

Boxing Day offers a special guided tour around the magical Lost Gardens of Heligan or you could test your aim with laser clay pigeon shooting. There will be homemade chocolate Yule log to keep appetites at bay until a delicious dinner from 7pm. During dinner, you'll be entertained by our popular musical duo 'Guage 10'. On 27th December, enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading home. Rates start from £510 per person.

Our 2 night NEW YEAR break (arrive 31st December 2012, depart 2nd January 2013) offers food and celebrations galore and includes a cocktail party, Gala Dinner and dancing to live music on New Year's Eve. There's also plenty to enjoy on New Year's Day, including a full Cornish breakfast, served a little later to allow for a good lie-in! You'll also be able to sit for your own private reading with our celebrity psychic, Leonora. Mulled wine and mince pies will be served throughout the afternoon. We've organised a slap up dinner for New Year's Day, where you'll also be amazed by our close-up magician, Gary Mac. Rates start from £320 per person.

Hollywood Murder Mystery Weekend

Join us at The Fowey Hotel for an elegant 1930s style Murder Mystery weekend in February 2013. Rates from just £299 per room for 2 nights, including accommodation, breakfast, a delicious Cornish cream tea on arrival, plus dinner and full entertainment on the Saturday evening.

Stars of the silver screen meet for the annual Hollywood party but during the evening greed and jealously surface, together with accusations of gambling debts. Some of the guests find themselves the victims of a blackmail attempt and one guest receives threats from the Mafia. Then....late in the evening, a body is discovered! Will you be the one to solve the mystery?
