Cornwall Declared Top Foodie Destination
Cornwall has been declared a top foodie destination in the world, in an online survey conducted by Expedia. Its not just for the delicious Cornish Pasties either, an abundance of Michelin stars and AA rosettes adorn the counties restaurants. The survey states that 23% of Britons would travel to Cornwall for the food alone- the fact that it is one of the most beautiful places in the UK is just an added bonus! Cornwall was rated 3rd in the world by the survey putting just behind Puglia in Italy, and Madrid in Spain.
So what has made Cornwall so popular with Chefs and Foodies alike?
We asked the Head Chef Mark Griffiths at Spinnakers, our own 2 AA rosette award winning restaurant, he believes its because ‘Cornwall offers some of the best local produce in the world, the identity of the county, means our farmers, fishermen, cheese makers, butchers, everyone, including Chefs take an extra pride in what they do’
So there you have it, Cornwall is where you you need to be heading if you want a truly unforgettable fine dining experience. Why not book a table at our Spinnakers Restaurant and see for yourself.
