A Gin Lovers Guide for People Who Don’t Like Gin

There is a lot to be said for a simple gin and tonic with a slice of lemon or lime, and that is normally the gin haters first and only dabble in the beautiful spirit, however this delicious beverage can be mixed and blended in to so many different guises. Not only that, but depending on which gin you are drinking, the aromas and undertones can be as complex as fine wine or whiskey.

Here are a few of our favourites

    Tarquin’s – Cornwall, England

Lively with juniper, cardamom and orange blossom. Incredibly fresh, with reserved pine notes. Crisp and dry, with a tasty spice that lingers on the palate.

    Williams Chase – Herefordshire, England

Crisp apples up front, slowly becoming juicier, with orange peels chiming in from the side. Dryer near the end with classic herbaceousness.

    Plymouth – Plymouth, England

Great depth of flavour, fresh juniper, lemony bite with deeper earthy notes. It has a slight sweetness with impressive concentration and complexity. No single botanical dominates the overall flavour.

Mix any of these into a Tom Collins, Martinez, or White Lady and we you will be converted.  Why not pop in to our Lookout Gin Bar where all these are available.
